Our Training Facility/Kyudojo

Our Kyudojo in Boskruin, Johannesburg, was constructed in 2014 and is quietly tucked away amid open fields and unique, thoughtfully maintained gardens. Surrounded by nature, the setting is peaceful and serene, offering a rare sense of quiet away from the pace of city life.

The kyudojo was privately funded, carefully constructed, and generously gifted to the city, creating a lasting space dedicated to the practice and preservation of Kyudo. Its natural surroundings and gardens foster an atmosphere of focus, reflection, and harmony, where tradition and landscape exist in balance.

Notably, this kyudojo is the first and only five-person tachi kyudojo built on the African continent, making it a truly distinctive and historically significant place for Kyudo in Africa.
